Miracles do happen! Over fifteen years ago, five years after I became a widow, I met Jeffrey Shapiro and surprisingly fell in love once again and we were married soon afterwards.
Since the beginning he has been my inspiration, always at my side, & having faith in me as a writer, poet, painter, sculptress, slightly bohemian, with a gypsy spirit or what have you, encouraging me in my endeavors. On the day, he gave me my gold wedding ring I asked him to inscribe something different and unusual that would have great meaning to both of us. He suggested the words “Hocus Pocus” and so it came to be that those two little words described the next chapter of my life. You see, my knowledge of the English language was limited at the time,. So, I asked him what the expressions signified,  after he explained the origin and meaning of the word, I was very pleased.
With the passing of time the words “Hocus Pocus” took on a magical new meaning in my life. It set the tone for all my adventures with Jeffrey. We never looked back, just continued our magical trek through life, enjoying every moment!
